Easter Baskets by 7th Grader

It’s a birthday tradition in Botetourt County, for Sarah Hamblin of Fincastle. Every year, Sarah, a seventh grader, asks for gifts for others for her birthday. It’s called, Operation, Easter Bunny. She asks folks to donate to the Botetourt Food Pantry, Badkback Buddies, and the Roanoke Rescue Mission, and people have been doing that for the past seven years. WSLS TV reports she has donated over 700 Easter Baskets, and this year she wants to donate Easter Baskets to all the Children at Roanoke Memorial Children’s Hospital. They are filled with toys, coloring books and stuffed animals, no candy, since some kids have dietary restrictions.
