A Lynchburg man is facing a reckless driving charge after hitting the back of a school bus in Amherst County. Police say the crash happened around 8:15 yesterday morning on Route 29 when the bus carrying elementary students was stopped with its red lights flashing. Police say several cars were stopped behind the bus when a vehicle driven by Robert Penn of Lynchburg swerved to miss the stopped cars and then rear-ended the school bus. Police say none of the children on the bus were injured, but Penn was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
