Apartment Complex Planned For Low Moor

There are plans to build a 48-unit apartment complex in the Low Moor area of Alleghany County. The apartment complex will be built on land near the Alleghany Highlands YMCA. The project is expected to cost about $6 million, and is being built by Robert Fralin, a Roanoke developer. County Administrator Jon Lanford said the project is a result of a housing study conducted by the county in 2019 which showed a need for diversified housing in the area.
