Covington Native Named Grand Marshal Of Clifton Forge Christmas Parade

A Covington native has been named grand marshal of the Clifton Forge Christmas Parade happening December 6th. Attorney David Davis was chosen by Clifton Forge Main Street Inc., which oversees the Christmas parade. Davis is stepping down, retiring, from his position as county attorney, which he has held for 25 years. His law practice in Covington will close on Dec. 31. Davis, who is originally from Covington, moved to Clifton Forge in 1984 after graduating from the Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, Calif. He attended law school after graduating from Roanoke College.
